The Heart of My Work
For more than three decades, I’ve been drawn to this work by one guiding belief: healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and understood. That belief was shaped early in my own life, when a social worker offered me compassion and presence during a time I really needed it. I never forgot that feeling, and it planted the seed for the work I do now.
Becoming a therapist for women and couples wasn’t a straight path. I raised a family, worked in various parts of the mental health field, and eventually returned to school to pursue the dream I had carried for years. I still remember the moment it all came into focus—at a therapy conference, surrounded by people who shared my passion, I felt it in my bones: This is it. This is where I’m meant to be.
That’s the energy I bring to my work today. Whether you're navigating a life transition, working through relationship challenges, or looking for a space to reconnect with yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you.
My Approach
Real, Relatable, Rooted in Respect
As a therapist for women and couples, I blend evidence-based approaches with deep empathy. I'm here to walk alongside you, not above or ahead of you. My style is warm, collaborative, curious, and creative. I see therapy as a space where we make meaning together, not a place where you're advised from a distance.
I tailor therapy to each client using an integrated approach grounded in:
Strength-Based Therapy – focusing on your resilience, skills, and inner resources rather than what's "wrong"
Attachment Theory – exploring how early relationships shape current patterns and how to create secure connections
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns to support emotional and behavioral change.
What It’s Like to Work with Me
Sessions feel like sitting down with someone who truly listens—without judgment, without pressure, and without pretending to have all the answers. You’ll find that I’m deeply engaged, warm, and genuinely invested in your well-being. I hold space with care, but I’ll also gently challenge you when needed, especially when it comes to breaking old patterns, prioritizing yourself, or stepping into growth.
Clients often tell me they feel both comforted and empowered in our sessions. I show up with curiosity and honesty, and bring not only clinical skills, but lived experience, perspective, and my own humanity to our time together. Therapy is hard work, but it can also be a place of discovery, insight, and even joy.
What Sets Me Apart as a Therapist for Women & Couples
I bring the perspective of someone who’s lived a lot of life—someone who’s navigated both the messiness and beauty of change. I’ve spent over 30 years working with people across identities, life stages, and experiences. That time has given me not just professional training, but a deep appreciation for how complex, resilient, and unique each person is. I’m grounded in experience, open to learning, and always striving to meet my clients with honesty, presence, and respect.

-
Healing can happen when we are met with compassion. I approach each client with genuine care, offering support that balances both emotional presence and practical guidance.
-

-
No two clients are the same, and neither is the path to healing. I draw from a variety of modalities with flexibility and imagination, helping you find what actually works for you—not what works in theory.
-
Change is possible, and it is never too late to heal. I’ll help you reconnect to your strengths, shift limiting patterns, and move through life transitions with more clarity and confidence.
What Makes Me Human
I cook to unwind—never following a recipe too closely. I love to travel, and I'm a lifelong learner with a passport full of stamps and a heart full of stories. I believe that curiosity keeps us young and that it’s never too late to begin again.
